We were announced as category finalists in the 2010 Music Oz Awards with two of our songs nominated in two different genres - "How Much Are You Getting For Free?" in the 'Alternative' genre and "Any Way You Want It" in the 'Dance / Electronica' genre. 2 out of 3 aint bad! (Music Oz is Australia's premier music awards for independent and unsigned artists.)
Austereo network's "Australian First" program played our song "Night After Night" Australia wide on Sun Feb 28th as the Radar Radio feature artist of the week. The hosts Ben and Cecelia also chatted with Nick about beats, Elvis weddings and the instamatics. Cecelia likened our sound to nineties grunge with naughties beats - that's awesome, we'll take that! Thank you Austereo.
Triple M played our song "Night After Night" on Tues Feb 9th on the Melbourne and Sydney frequencies on Ugly Phil's show in the Radar Radio challenge. We didn't win the challenge but we are so stoked to have received some airplay on Triple M. What a buzz. One listener thought we sounded like Johny Rotten circa Public Image Limited. Ugly Phil thought we sounded 'kinda like digital punk' - we love it!
We're righting the wrongs and writing some songs.
We'll be gigging as soon as we get our head around Ableton Live.
